Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan is seeking protective bail in a case registered against him over protests outside the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) office. The Lahore High Court (LHC) had directed him to appear before the court in person, and Khan’s lawyer had requested additional time citing concerns over his client’s security and a meeting with his doctors. The hearing was adjourned until 12:30 pm. The PTI chairman had been on bail on medical grounds after he was injured in an assassination attempt last November. The court had cancelled his bail after he failed to appear before it on Wednesday and sought another exemption on medical grounds.
