28 people were killed and 150 were injured in a suicide bombing inside a mosque in the Police Lines area of Peshawar, Pakistan. The attacker detonated the bomb during the Zohr prayers. The injured were taken to the Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar, which has called for blood donations. It’s too early to say anything about the cause of the attack, according to the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) of Peshawar. The caretaker Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has imposed a medical emergency in all hospitals in the city and ordered rescue organizations to speed up relief activities. The area where the blast took place is known for high security and is home to the headquarters of the Peshawar Police, CTD, FRP, Elite Force, and Telecommunications Department.
