Imran’s facilitator fleeing one after the other, leaving him alone: Maryam Nawaz
Maryam Nawaz, the Senior Vice-President of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), has criticized Imran Khan, the Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and accused him and his party of being thieves. Speaking at a PML-N workers’ convention in Faisalabad, Maryam claimed that facilitators of the deposed prime minister were leaving him alone and that the establishment had thrown him aside. She referred to Khan as a “watch thief” and accused his party of being thieves, adding that his wife was also a thief. Maryam accused Bushra Bibi, the former first lady, of accepting a five-carat diamond ring as a bribe for approving official files, referring to an alleged audio leak featuring a business tycoon and her daughter. Without naming Imran Khan, Maryam asked the people of Punjab to recognize their “enemy” and throw him out of the province. She also criticized the Panama bench for disqualifying PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif from holding public office in the landmark decision on the Panama Papers case and claimed that Pakistan’s progress was interlinked with Sharif.
