Parvez Elahi, former Chief Minister of Punjab, has decided to file a court case against the actions taken by the caretaker government in the province, which he deems unconstitutional and illegal. This decision was made after a meeting with his legal team. During the meeting, the team discussed issues such as the detention of political opponents, halting of development projects, and illegal actions taken by the caretaker government. Elahi, who is a senior leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q), criticized the caretaker government for violating privacy and for focusing on political opponents instead of the upcoming elections. He believes the caretaker government is playing with the law and the Constitution and has no mandate but to conduct the elections. A day prior, the police raided Elahi’s residence in Gujrat but did not make any arrests.
